A One Bear Show
brings stories to life

A One Bear Show is a live interactive theatrical production that energizes children’s interest in literacy.  It’s a small show with a big push for kids to enjoy the wonders of reading.

This award-winning program is performed by The Reading Bear

(played by David Edward Perry) who leads the crowd on an adventurous interactive storytelling. Using props, sound effects and costumes, the audience becomes part of A One Bear Show.

Parents and their children join the fun by acting out the roles of the  story characters.

A One Bear Show encourages family reading to boost literacy and promotes active self-selective reading in elementary age children.

The Bear Show began its run in 1999 in Washington D.C.

"The Bear Show's active learning activities  encourages the creativity and communication skills of young children."
